After performing the experience, Ezequiel Facetti, Special Business manager at Suncell Bahiense, spoke exclusively with Prensa Vehicular and talked about the drivers’ opinion on the CNG bus: “Everyone agreed mainly on how quiet the engine is. And not only did they care about themselves, they also thought about the passengers, some of whom spend two hours or more per day travelling on the bus. Drivers noted the good engine response and reached the top speed electronically allowed for all buses. Some workers wanted to ride more than once, encouraged other teammates to do so and said they hope the service will add this environmentally friendly option.”
The executive explained they had chose Line 15 for being an “iconic service (founded March 1, 1924) and for the long route its buses cover daily.” It is estimated that each vehicle travels 120 km at every outward journey “and each driver performs three round trips daily, ending bewildered,” said Facetti.
The green bus had been officially launched in mid-July in the city of Bahía Blanca, after covering nearly 700 kilometres during its journey from Greater Buenos Aires.
