“We want to promote blue corridors to allow vehicles to successfully run on full CNG from one region to another. To achieve this, we have to build a refueling station every 90 or 100 kilometers,” Medrano explained.
According to hydrocarbons analyst Boris Gómez, encouraging the establishment of private NGV corridors and demanding conversion of nationalized vehicles to natural gas are real alternatives to avoid the increase in fuel prices.
In this regard, Medrano reported the ANH plans to expand NGV market and “what is needed is that all vehicles operate on natural gas and all households have the installation of the service.” He also revealed that in Bolivia there is a growth of 18 to 25 stations per year, but this amount should be increased in the near future.
