Ten of the 47 buses have begun operations today, while the remaining units will be gradually introduced, according to the newspaper El Mundo. The vehicles, which were launched earlier this month by the mayor and Metroplús manager Ramiro Ramirez, Marquez, have already gone through a period of testing and tuning.
The 12-meters buses are capable of carrying 90 to 100 passengers each. On the right side, they feature three doors that are leveled with the sidewalk, one to climb and two to descend, and are wheelchair accessible. On the left, there are two doors at a height of 90 centimeters, for access from the platforms at the main stations. The CNG engine offers 280hp.
