The measure provides that the agency created by the Bolivian government will be the unique body in charge of extending the use of CNG, as published by Elpaisonline.com.
In turn, LPG vehicle owners have 90 working days to register with the National Hydrocarbon Agency to enter into the conversion programs. Otherwise, they will not be able to drive across the country.
The new office has administrative, legal, technical and financial independence, but it reports to the Ministry of Hydrocarbons. This entity must inform to the state-own oil company YPFB that its participation in the program has finished and it has 60 days to transfer resources to the new agency.
Additionally, the decree amends rules to build and operate CNG stations and workshops.
