During the event, he was accompanied by the Secretary for Transport and Mobility, Armando Quintero, and the chairwoman of the RTP, Ariadna Montiel Reyes. Ebrard Casaubon announced that Mexico City is about to sign a new commitment to reduce emissions and these Eco Buses represent an important step to this direction.
He also acknowledged the work done by all staff of the RTP, and the participation of both Hyundai and Gas Natural companies to implement these new buses’ service.
With an investment of 101 million pesos (local currency), the 30 vehicles are from Korea, operate on natural gas, feature air conditioning, electronic road signs, radio communications, Global Positioning System (GPS) and are capable to transport 91 passengers.
