According to the president Garcia, this achievement is the result of creativity, work and confidence of the public and private sectors that, along with the support of Cofide (local finance corporation), could generate a competitive national market that is continuously contributing to the generation of employment and savings, as well as the reduction of emissions.
“As we consolidate the massive and widespread use of gas, we’ll save thousands of millions dollars. It’s definitely a win for Peru and for carriers,” said the Peruvian leader. He also emphasized the role of Cofide that, through its programs, financed the conversion of the 100,000 NGVs with over USD 290 million.
It is worth recalling that in November last year, the Peruvian Chamber for NGV (CPGNV, as in its Spanish acronym) already distinguished the owner of the vehicle number 100,000 with an event organized at the workshop’s facilities of the firm Peruana de Gas Natural, in Lima.
