This action is in line with the inauguration of the “Blue Corridor” concept, the name internationally given to the route covered by natural gas heavy and medium-duty vehicles plying across long distances, since the blue color is typically connected with blue sky and the contribution to the idea of a cleaner air.
Thus, it will be inaugurated the Argentine section of the Bioceanic Blue Corridor Project from the MERCOSUR that will join Valparaíso, Buenos Aires and Río de Janeiro, which already has basic CNG refuelling infrastructure along the route.
The event is also supported by OEMs like Fiat and Kia, gas distribution companies such as Gas Gas Natural Fenosa and Litoral Gas, which team up with companies from the CNG sector like Esigas, Kioshi, Galileo, Pelmag, etc.
“It is the first time in 26 years that the CNG industry organizes an activity of this kind. We are pioneers and we are proving it”, said Fausto Maranca, president of the CAGNC (Argentine Chamber for CNG).
