The three rigid trucks are equipped with a 9.3-liter and 310 hp engine, and have a capacity of 640 liters of gas at 200 bar pressure, in eight composite tanks. They also feature Allison automatic gearbox, steering wheel-mounted control and air suspension.
Juan Sanchez, Disfrimur CEO, stated: “We believe in the use of natural gas powered vehicles because, compared with other fuels, CNG saves around 25 percent. Besides having a smaller impact on the environment, these engines offer similar power to diesel equivalents”.
The company, mainly dedicated to haul trucking and logistics, has a large truck fleet that circulates throughout the Spanish territory covering about 50 million miles a year. Scania vehicles represent between 60 and 70 percent of Disfrimur’s fleet.
