Omnitek is accelerating its conversion center partnerships throughout the United States since receiving EPA approval last month for its diesel-to-natural gas conversion technology for the widely operated line of heavy-duty Navistar DT466E and DT530E engines.
According to Funk, Omnitek’s system offers a projected return on investment of less than two years – a significant advantage compared with a projected return on investment of five-to-seven years for a new natural gas truck purchase.
“Our fleet customers are extremely interested in diesel engine conversions and the economic benefits of utilizing natural gas. We look forward to working with Omnitek and accelerating the adoption of natural gas in the region,” said Balu Balagopal, co- chief executive officer of Nat G CNG Solutions LLC.
