House Bill 2251, which has over 30 co-sponsors, involves a program that will lower the cost of doing business in Pennsylvania. Its initial target is to incentivize industry to convert its commercial vehicle fleets to natural gas. Such fleets will require enhancing the state’s network of CNG fueling stations.
Moreover, House Bill 934, which would only require around $6 million, also focuses on commercial fleets. However, the next step will be extending this technology and access to passenger vehicles. “Not only will this legislation help reduce pollution in Pennsylvania and across the country, but it will also generate more jobs for the design and construction of refueling stations and the people needed to operate them,” said Baker. “This is a win-win proposition.”
