The Cleveland facility’s designation fits into Fast Park’s overall corporate green initiatives. Across its 17 facilities in 13 markets, Fast Park is committed to using eco-friendly fleets. Facilities use a combination of CNG and Sprinter shuttles to transport travelers from their vehicles to the airport terminal. Compressed natural gas powered shuttles produce up to 23 percent fewer greenhouse gas emissions than diesel models, and the Sprinter shuttles emit almost 60 percent less carbon dioxide per vehicle than standard 6.0L diesel engine shuttles.
“Fast Park strives to be a good corporate citizen in our local markets and making our shuttles eco-friendly is a top priority across our footprint,” said William Addy, Senior General Manager of Systems and Fleet for Fast Park. “Using 10 CNG shuttles here in Cleveland is the equivalent of taking 25 passenger vehicles off the road for one year or growing more than 3,100 tree seedlings for 10 years.”
