“We’ve been very interested in natural gas equipment for some time now,” said Richard Evans, Valley Proteins director of transportation. “There are a lot of unknown variables when switching to this technology. This partnership enabled us to explore our options in a low-risk environment. MHC Truck Leasing had the best solution to provide the trucks we were looking for, and with their knowledge and capabilities, they have ensured us that they will be able to help us run our business optimally.”
The CNG trucks, equipped with Cummins ISX 12G engines, were handed to Valley Proteins this week in Charlotte, N.C., where drivers received an orientation on the units as well as the offerings that MHC Truck Leasing provides. This company manages over 4,000 trucks for a wide range of businesses and provides service in 11 states as well as access to PacLease’s network of more than 500 leasing locations to provide coast-to-coast coverage.
“The natural gas sector is something we continue to focus on, as more of our customers are interested in learning about this technology to determine if it fits their needs,” commented Todd Harrington, vice president of business development for MHC Truck Leasing.
