The public-access CNG station was built by Clean Energy Fuels in partnership with Quarles Fleet Fueling, and will be open 24-hours a day, seven days a week. It will support the community’s public and private vehicle fleets with a cleaner, domestic and highly cost-efficient alternative fuel choice.
Located on 45149 Old Ox Road, Sterling, Va, adjacent to Dulles International Airport, the new facility will be operated by Clean Energy and represents Northern Virginia’s only public natural gas fueling station.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by Mark Riley, Regional Vice President of Clean Energy; Steve Fowler, Vice President of Quarles Fleet Fueling; Dennis A. Smith from the US Department of Energy; Alleyn Harned, Executive Director of Virginia Clean Cities Coalition; Ron Flowers, Executive Director of Greater Washington Region Clean Cities Coalition; and Eileen Curtis, President & CEO of Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce.
