The Virginia-based company, which has already partnered with Saval Foodservice to offer the FuelMule™ solution, has now driven a vehicle to the 2012 Republican National Convention in Florida to display its innovation. “We drove 1,372 miles from Monroe to Tampa and did not have to stop once for fuel. The vehicle fueled itself, and it operated beautifully the entire way,” said Ultimate CNG COO Brian Fimian.
During the GOP meeting, the unit refueled a dozen “GOP EZ Shuttles”, provided by ANGA, which were used to ferry convention-goers to hotels, attractions and the convention site. Moreover, the FuelMule™ is also serving this week’s Democratic National Convention, in North Carolina. Partners for the Ultimate-ANGA convention bus service include Teco Peoples Gas in Tampa and Piedmont Natural Gas in Charlotte.
