“We’re always looking for ways to green our fleet and to be more environmentally efficient. It just made sense from all angles,” said Katrine Strickland, Advanced Disposal’s Marketing Manager. “We feel like it is the next step in keeping the Atlanta area clean and green for generations to come.”
Furthermore, Vocational Energy has built a time-fill station at Ace Solid Waste’s property in Ramsey, Minnesota, as the waste collector plans to transition its entire 65-truck diesel fleet to CNG within five years. The company already acquired four refuse vehicles, at a cost of $330,000 each, which will be operating on three residential routes and one commercial route in Andover and Coon Rapids.
The $1 million fueling station was officially opened this week. “We chose Vocational Energy because they really understood our business and they had the best handle on alternative fuel and fueling solutions,” said Andy Schweizer, owner of Ace Solid.
