Ham Italy has opened Emilia Romagna’s first L-CNG refueling station
The distribution and refueling facility is located in the city of Calderara di Reno, in the province of Bologna. By means of a high-pressure pump, the compressed natural gas comes from a LNG storage filled by a cryogenic tanker from Barcelona’s terminal. The company estimates that sales will reach 1 million kilos of CNG per year.

It is also the first time that Italy Ham has applied this technology (compressed natural gas from liquefied natural gas) in the country.
It is noteworthy that Ham Group has developed the engineering, installation, commissioning and operation of a LNG/CNG mobile supplier. The tanker can provide with liquefied natural gas for bi-fuel and conventional trucks anywhere in Europe within 24 hours. At the same time, it supplies CNG to industrial, sport and private vehicles, meeting specific requirements.
The equipment has been used for many applications, such as supplying natural gas to Igualada’s refuse trucks and testing Volkswagen Scirocco at the Valencia circuit.
