Turkey is interested in Kamaz NGVs
A delegation of Katmerciler, a Turkish manufacturer of special equipment, visited the Russian automaker to discuss negotiations on long-term collaboration. The foreign guests also visited several important facilities of Kamaz, including the main assembly line at the automobile plant and new vehicles at the Scientific and Technical Center.
The Turkish representatives of Katmerciler showed interest in Kamaz compressed natural gas-powered trucks, exhibited at the facilities of its distributor OOO RariTEK, due to the fact that the cost of diesel fuel in Turkey is one of the highest in Europe.
Attended by Evgeny Pronin, deputy general director of Sales and Service at OJSC Kamaz; Danis Valeev, chief designer and director of the Scientific and Technical Center at OJSC Kamaz; and Alfred Gatiyatov, deputy general director of RariTEK, the meeting focused on the ways of cooperation in the manufacture and promotion of co-products on markets in Turkey, Central Asia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
Under the topic "Natural gas vehicles as a tool of energy conservation and energy efficiency improvement," Kamaz also held a meeting to address the construction and expansion of CNG station network, bulk purchase of NGVs for municipalities and prospects of conversion to natural gas vehicles in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug (KMAO),
Siberia. Eventually, it was decided to establish a working group with representatives of KMAO Government and OOO Gazprom transgaz Yugorsk to develop a single program on the use of compressed and liquefied natural gas in the region.
