As published by Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), the country has 1,826 CNG outlets in operation and 50 more will be inaugurated next month. About 450 facilities were established during the past Iranian year (ended March 2011), while 25 have been inaugurated in Tehran simultaneously.

The firm already has two CNG stations in Peru, one in Piura and another in Chiclayo. At the same time, it is building two mega facilities in both cities, which will be operational in March or April, according to Gascop general manager Edgar Sánchez Dávila. From now on, they are looking forward to extend their presence in both markets using a different methodology.

So far 1,820 compressed natural gas filling stations have become operational across the country and the figure is expected to hit 2,000 by the end of the current Iranian year (March 20). According to Mehr News Agency, distribution capacity of CNG increased to 2 million normal cubic meters per hours.

The state-owned oil company (YPFB Corporation) plans to install five CNG filling points this year, in order to guarantee the fuel to vehicles plying across country’s major corridor. YPFB president Carlos Villegas made the announcement, and the company he represents currently owns 36 fuelling stations across the nation.

The opening ceremony of the company’s new point of sale located at Isla facility on Independence Avenue in Santo Domingo was attended by the first lady Margarita Cedeño de Fernández. This new installation is equipped with Aspro technology for vehicles fast-filling and set up by Deltagas S.A. technical team, which is the Argentinean company’s representative in the region. In addition, Gasedo is Aspro's commercial representative in the country. Five other CNG stations, which were virtually inaugurated yesterday, will be ready to start selling the fuel by late January.

The company has recently received first orders from three new customers valued at CDN$540,000 for its NGX line of natural gas dryers for use in CNG refueling stations in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan and Thailand. Orders for these units were placed by market leading suppliers of equipment used in natural gas fueling stations and by PTT, a leading developer of natural gas refueling infrastructure in Thailand. All of these orders will be manufactured in Xebec's Shanghai facility.

Equipped with slow and fast-fill dispensers, it will fuel the city's 29 NGVs as well as other public and private vehicles such as passenger cars, larger vehicles and buses, and will be open 24 hours a day on a self-service basis.
