The automaker has strengthened its commitment to a cleaner, low-carbon future by signing an agreement with Mayor’s London Hydrogen Partnership (LHP). The LHP has initiated over £50 million worth of hydrogen projects, attracting and rolling-out new hydrogen buses, taxis, scooters, refueling stations, materials handling vehicles and fuel cell Combined Heat and Power units to London.

Three of the fueling facilities in operation are public and located in the municipalities of Tilburg, Oss and Zwolle. At this last mentioned point, LNG24, which is a Ballast Nedam subsidiary, organized a few weeks ago a three day event in collaboration with Iveco Nederland, Scania Nederland and Volvo Trucks to promote liquefied natural gas transportation.

The Stavanger shipping company Simon Møkster Shipping AS has been awarded a 10 year contract to provide a new, purpose-built supply and standby vessel to be associated with the Goliat production platform in the Barents Sea. The vessel is to be built in Norway and will be unique to the Norwegian shelf, combining platform supply and advanced contingency functions. In turn, it will be tailor-made for Arctic assignments.

There will be seven Cryobox® units, developed and patented by Galileo, to feed with LNG the tanks of the “López Mena”, the world´s first high speed passenger RO-RO ship, which will daily cross the Río de la Plata between Argentina and Uruguay. It will also be the first time that a sea transportation company, such as Buquebus, becomes its own self supplier of a fuel.

Chart’s Distribution & Storage business in China has been awarded a contract to provide LNG fueling stations, self-contained LNG modules, storage tanks and trailers to PetroChina Hua Gang Gas Group Co. Ltd., a joint venture between PetroChina Huabei Oilfield Company and PetroChina's Kunlun Energy Company.

The distribution division of the world’s third largest grocery retailer, Tesco, has committed a fleet of 35 heavy duty vehicles. The trucks will fuel at Gasrec’s station at Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal: a ground-breaking installation that will officially open to all dual-fuel vehicles in May. Bio-LNG is Gasrec’s proprietary, future-proof blend of LNG and liquid biomethane.

As the Daguan Road refueling station, which is the first LNG filling facility in this Chinese region invested and constructed by CNPC Shennan Oil Technology Development Co, Ltd, commenced operation in February 2013, the fleet of 310 liquefied natural gas buses were running safely and smoothly since then. This achievement marked the successful conversion of LPG-driven units into LNG system and received wide recognition in the province.

GE Oil & Gas has unveiled this small-scale, plug-and-play, re-deployable LNG system based on proven technology that can help accelerate the use of natural gas as a cost-effective, cleaner vehicle fuel. It offers customers a standardized, modular fueling system covering an LNG production range of 10,000 – 50,000 gallons a day (16-18 tons/day) and, as a small-scale solution, it may encourage the transition of long-haul trucks from diesel fuel to natural gas.
