To further encourage the development of LNG-for-transport segment, the NGVA Europe will present “LNG 4 Trucks & Ships Workshop” on 19-21 September 2012 in Amsterdam City, the Netherlands. The event will be hosted by Ballast Nedam, sponsored by Emerson Process Management Flow BV, and organized by the GVR/ NGV Communications Group.

The event allows the association to put together a unique technical tour to an LNG filling station in Zwolle City, a comprehensive LNG-for-transport workshop, table tops exhibition, vehicle display and technical demonstration, a natural gas boat tour along the UNESCO’s Rings of Canals Amsterdam World Heritage, and a high-level networking session.

While Dutch and EU regulation makers are working and issuing regulations regarding LNG and dual fuel vehicles, fuel, and filling facilities, private sectors in the region and the Netherlands supporting the “clean” fuel initiatives. Iveco, Mercedes Benz, Scania, and Volvo, engine suppliers and 0km HDVs converters are active offering their LNG and dual fuel vehicle technologies and products in Europe. In the Netherlands, not only many goods-delivery companies and big supermarket chains are using these eco-friendly on-road vehicles, but also inland waterways logistic companies opt for monofuel and dual fuel ships. Additionally, several Dutch stakeholders have signed “Green Deal” initiative with the local government to increase both marine and on-road LNG vehicle fleets.
