Claudio Kohan, Director of event organizer NGV Communications Group, says his sales team has been overwhelmed by the response. “We expected strong interest but the sales so far have well exceeded our expectations. This proves Mexico is a new frontier for the industry and an ideal location for the global industry to gather this year.”

Increased Networking Prospects

To increase networking opportunities at the event, the usual format for the three day conference and exhibition has been varied to overlap each other by two days only instead of the usual three. The change will also give exhibitors more opportunity to attend the conference and conference delegates more time to attend the exhibition.

Planned social engagements, including a Gala Evening Function and a cocktail evening within the exhibition hall will also allow delegates, exhibitors and attendees to cement business and personal relationships in a relaxed environment.

Preliminary Conference Program and Technical Forum Planning Progressing

NGV Global’s Events Committee has commenced distributing confirmation notices to speakers who submitted abstracts in a call for papers issued in March and expects to release a preliminary program before the end of July. Conference registrations will commence at the same time.

The conference will be preceded by an open and complimentary Technical Forum to be held on November 6th. The forum will be chaired by NGV Global’s Technical Chair, Dr Alex Lawson, with the intention of allowing more in depth and informal technical discussion than would otherwise occur during the conference sessions. The forum will be open to conference delegates, exhibitors and exhibition attendees.
