At the presentation of vehicles ceremony, Mayor of Bolu Alaaddin Yılmaz said: “We selected these refuse collection trucks equipped with compressed natural gas engines for an environmentally conscious approach. In addition, we aim to achieve fuel economy advantages by operating these vehicles.”

According to Allison`s report, compressed natural gas engines reduce up to 95 percent of benzene emission. Company´s fully automatic transmissions contribute to this objective by precisely controlling shift points, keeping engine speed more constant and making efficient use of fuel.

“We hope our decision become an example for other provinces, breaking new ground in Turkey,” Yilmaz added.
