“At the three centres, we have converted 1,450 vehicles so far,” the executive informed, as published by Khaleej Times. In addition, two more CNG workshops owned by C.G. Tech (Compressed Gas Technology) are operating in the area.
On the other hand, the General Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police recently signed an agreement with the Emirates Transport to convert its fleet from gasoline to compressed natural gas. This official organization is the first government entity to opt for converting its vehicles. Furthermore, a total of 380 patrol cars have been fitted with CNG kits.
As far as C.G. Tech concerns, it has converted more than 300 vehicles so far, including police cars and taxis. Besides the CNG workshops in Abu Dhabi, the company has other three in Sharjah, one of which is going to be opened this month.
