According to Andina news agency, technicians from the Provincial Government of Arequipa are evaluating that possibility, for which the terms and conditions of the tender will have to be modified to become effective.
The national government has encouraged the project from the beginning, and it will allocate 500 million Peruvian Nuevo Sol (over USD 185 million) for the consolidation of SIT, as established by the Law of Indebtedness
It is worth mentioning that the Arequipa’s first natural gas powered bus was presented last July.
