As part of the celebration, Gas Natural Fenosa raffled off conversion kits provided by TA to be delivered to two new NGV users. After that, a video commemorating the 27 years of CNG in the country was played for the audience, plus several assistants who played a key role in driving business in the country received recognition.
During his speech, Horacio Cristiani emphasized the role of those “visionaries and pioneers” who have given continuity and dynamism to the industry since its inception in 1984. “Argentina is still a power in natural gas for vehicles, not only in the number of cars converted, but also in the number of stations and CNG equipments producers. The last mentioned players also lead the market both locally and for export,” he stated.
Fausto Maranca added later on: “This project was not supported by anyone but by two million drivers who have converted their vehicles over all these years, and they have received a lot of benefit because of their decision. The fact that Buenos Aires is considered one of the cleanest cities in terms of pollution is largely due to natural gas cars operation. When we achieve the implementation of CNG in heavy-duty transportation, we will improve it a lot more.”
