From April to December, the number of conversions was over 10,000 vehicles per month, with the highest peaks achieved in August and September, recording nearly 15,000 changes each month. To get a more accurate picture, these are the figures that marked last year’s success: January 8,967; February 7,698; March 9,330; April 11,076; May 11,376; June 12,342, July 13,946; August 14,819; September 14,948; October 12,622; November 12.390; and December 10,418 (this number may increase, as the CNG Management of the National Gas Regulatory Agency’s records are complete)
It is also important to mention that there is a 46% rise when taking into account November 2011 figure (the last month with a final record revealed) and comparing it with the same month in 2010, when only 8,438 vehicles were converted.
By December 2011, the historically accumulated CNG conversions in Argentina have reached a total of 2,015,952 vehicles, nearly 250,000 of which have been registered over the last two years.
