Conversion monthly figures for 2010 are so far: 6,244 in January, 5,670 in February, 9,697 in March, 9,486 in April, 9,250 in May, 9,734 in June, 10,673 in July, 10,308 August, 9,930 September, 8,373 in October and 7,883 in November (this last figure may grow as Enargas’ statistics are completed).
“The 21st of December, NGV sector celebrates its 26th anniversary in our country, a project that has already achieved 1,900 CNG fuelling stations and 1.9 million vehicles converted to natural gas system. Our objective as the national association is to promote this fuel, cheaper than others, not only for the private users, but also for activities related to transport. In addition, CNG has a minor impact on the environment,” Maranca commented.
This local association undertook various promotional activities during 2010. Among them, the CAGNC draw the installation of CNG kits in one of the most popular radio stations in the country. The fourth raffle of the year is planned to be aired on December 22nd, in commemoration of the local anniversary of NGV sector.
