“The new 175 buses will be operated soon in the city roads after completing the formalities like port clearance and registration”, said BRTC chairman, MM Iqbal, to The Financial Express newspaper.
Besides, the BRTC will receive 255 CNG buses from the Korean trading firm Daewoo.
The goal of the corporation is to make cleaner an overpopulated city of 13 million people. “Also, we intend to introduce more school buses”, added the official.
The company introduced its first CNG buses in February 2010 when it awarded a grant from Nordic Development Fund.
