As reported by ABI news agency, the director of the EEC- GNV Hernán Vega reported that 49 conversion centers and one cylinders upgrading and replacement center have been installed in El Alto. Across the country, there are 264,681 CNG-powered vehicles in operation, 226,729 of which had the opportunity to make the change for free “by means of the natural gas nationalization.”
Moreover, the EEC-GNV yesterday launched in Sucre the Free Upgrading and Replacement Program for Cylinders. This scheme will allow NGV users to control the technical condition of tanks with over five years old since its manufacturing date and in the case of a technical problem, the cylinder will be replaced for free.
Regional authorities and transport leaders attending the launch agreed that this program will benefit all natural gas vehicle owners, both public and private users.
