Asport told ABI news agency that most vehicles taking advantages of the Conversion Program during the last weeks belong to the cities of Santa Cruz, Cochabamba and La Paz, in each of which there are between 25 and 30 workshops authorized to carry out this activity. Overall, the NGV national plan is performed in 73 certified CNG centres under the responsibility of the EEC-GNV (an entity under the authority of the Ministry of Hydrocarbons and Energy) located in the last mentioned cities and also in El Alto, Oruro and Sucre.
Moreover, the head of the Executing Agency revealed that 20,000 CNG kits will arrive in the country during the next weeks in order to meet the target set for the Conversion Program.
“Our aim is to cover the total fleet of both Cochabamba and Santa Cruz cities,” Asport concluded.
