This year, the EEC-GNV plans to reach 34,000 conversions, which would increase the daily demand for natural gas to about 980,000 cubic meters per day (currently of 300,600 cubic meters). These figures are taken into account by the committee that is in charge of the expansion of the Altiplano pipeline, which would be completed in May and whose mission is increasing the delivery of gas to western Bolivia (Cochabamba, Oruro, La Paz and El Alto).
Furthermore, the state oil company YPFB has set new goals for this year, which include the installation of new fueling points, reported FM Bolivia.
It is worth mentioning that the increase in the CNG conversion of public transportation, which is free, is expected to reduce the ticket cost up to 50 percent, according to the EEC-GNV.
