As Asport considered, the increasing installation of kits has been due to not only the various campaigns taken place around the country, but also the opening of 10 conversion centers during the last weeks. “Taking into account the results obtained in October, a number of meetings are being coordinated with the transport sector in order to reach up to 7,000 conversions per month,” he noted.
“5,579 conversions were carried out in just a month, which is a new record for the agency, since 3,000 had been switched in April, and afterwards we have gradually increased the numbers to reach more than 5,000, that is also as a result of the widespread promotion of the plan and the training courses run at the workshops,” he said.
For the next year-period, the EEC-GNV plans to achieve 34,000 conversions all over the country, owing to the resources from the Conversion Fund deposited by the state-owned oil company YPFB.
