So far this year, the EEC-GNV organized the free transition of 18,620 vehicles, while 7,748 were retrofitted outside the agency’s program, i.e. privately. The month with the highest number of conversions nationwide within the program was July, with 3,552 NGVs registered.
Currently, there are 148 conversion centers in Bolivia distributed in the regions of La Paz, Santa Cruz, Cochabamba, Oruro, Chuquisaca and Potosi. Cylinders upgrading and replacement centers totals 9, which are located in the regions of Cochabamba, La Paz and Tarija. Besides, there are 163 facilities for NGV maintenance.
Moreover, the CNG filling network has a total of 179 stations nationally, while 36 additional sites are under construction. The cities of Santa Cruz (86), Cochabamba (67) and La Paz (30) gather the highest number of fueling points, including both planned and operative stations.
