“This agreement is a joint effort of the agency and the interprovincial transport. We aim to convert 4,000 interprovincial public transportation vehicles within three months,” said Hernán Vega, director of the EEC-GNV.
Furthermore, Wilfredo Arias, representing regional carriers, stated: “On behalf of interprovincial transport, I want to thank President Evo Morales, the Minister of Hydrocarbons and Energy Juan Jose Sosa, and the director of the EEC-GNV, because they are fulfilling a desire that comes from many years ago. Now our colleagues can benefit from free conversion.”
The Interprovincial Transportation Federation of La Paz promised to send the 4,000 conversion applications to achieve the planned goals and deadlines. Besides, the EEC-GNV will provide free CNG kits and cylinders to beneficiaries, and will pay the installation at workshops authorized by the National Hydrocarbons Agency (ANH).
