Rio Grande do Sul ranks second in number of conversions to natural gas, after Rio de Janeiro. With 52,000 light NGVs on the road, the state has about 50 workshops authorized to install conversion kits and 80 filling stations that sell CNG in 28 cities.
In December, two new fueling points began to supply compressed natural gas at the pumps of Esteio and Cachoerinha municipalities.
“We have invested heavily to develop this market, expanding the pipeline network through various specific programs,” said Roberto Tejadas, director and president of Sulgás, Rio Grande do Sul gas company.
