Luis Mendoza, Deputy Minister of Planning and Design at MTTT, stressed that these refueling tests represent the next step towards the implementation of this public transport system reflecting its benefits in carry passengers throughout the capital. The buses have air conditioning, ergonomic seats and wheelchair access, unlike the current system, which has been in operation for over 50 year.
The mobility of these articulated buses is guaranteed thanks to the exclusive road built for them. In addition, new intelligent LED traffic lights were installed along these corridors.
Another advantage of the Bus Caracas is associated with the safety of its stations because they will be monitored by TV cameras, will feature adequate lighting and will be guarded by police officers designated by the Ministry of Interior Relations and Justice.
