Assistant general manager of Transfort, Kurt Ravenschlag, said the buses are expected to come into operation in about a year.
The company receives about USD 500,000 a year in grants from the Transit Administration. The additional sum will be delivered through the State of Good Repair program, which is aimed at improving the maintenance of public transportation systems across the country.
Ravenschlag added: “This initiative will really help us in terms of keeping up with our vehicle replacement”.
