Individuals and businesses also will save money by using a domestically produced, lower-cost alternative fuel,” official added.
The incentives approved go to several companies. Capacity of Texas, Inc. and TEC of California were awarded USD 1,280,000 to help buying 40 heavy-duty natural gas-powered trucks.
In turn, Creative Bus Sales will receive USD 575,000 in incentives for 33 vehicles (natural gas-powered vans and shuttle buses) and Inland Chevrolet (Hemet) will obtain USD 528,000 to purchase 66 General Motors natural gas-powered vans.
West Coast Bus Sales, Inc. is awarded a total of USD 380,000 for 10 natural gas-powered large vans and 15 natural gas shuttle buses.
