The station, which will supply CNG to light vehicles only, is owned by Distrinor S.A. and will be located inside the Tocopilla’s power station. In a first phase, the filling point was intended for EC-L Group’s internal use, with a continuous consumption of approximately 200 to 250 Nm3/ h. In a second stage, at a date to be announced by the company, the facility will be opened to the public, together with the construction of supporting annexes, such as offices, restrooms, garage, and an access route from and to Leonardo Guzmán Avenue.
“The use of this fuel will reduce exhaust fumes caused by motor vehicles in Tocopilla,” E-CL report explains. It was also expected that the first stage of the project would be due to be implemented in April 2012.
