The Colombian Natural Gas Association (Naturgas) announced that Promigas, Transmetano, Ecopetrol and TGI, Surtigas, Gases de Occidente, Vanti, EPM, Gases del Caribe and Efigas reached an agreement to offer discount vouchers to their business clients, whose value starts at U$S 520, for the CNG conversion of vehicles belonging to corporate fleets throughout the country.
“More and more Colombians are choosing natural gas for vehicles for its benefits. 622,000 vehicles have been converted to CNG in recent years, and there are more than 3,000 dedicated vehicles on our streets and highways, including passenger transport, trucks, tractors and dump trucks,” said Andrés Sarmiento Grisales, president in charge of Naturgas.
Companies that want to convert their vehicles will have the guarantees for the components of the conversion kit, as well as the calibrations of the conversion system to natural gas. The foregoing is defined within the collaboration agreements between the conversion centers, dealer network and/or vehicle manufacturer brands.
Through the conversion center or the technical management personnel of the distribution companies, drivers will receive trainings on the environmental benefits of CNG, safety conditions, supply and recommendations to maximize the performance and autonomy of the fuel.
