Heeren highlighted that the widespread use of natural gas includes taxis and buses from Metropolitano public transport, although Cálidda advocates extending it to all the mass transit routes.
At the same time, the number of CNG stations will be also enlarged: by the end of this year, the figure will reach 200 refueling facilities. “Three years ago, there were queues at stations, now the number of cars per station average has significantly declined and this will avoid waiting for cars filling,” he clarified.
Finally, he estimated that natural gas will be introduced into private vehicles market, allowing greater OEM NGVs production in the near future.
