Moreover, the tasks of the new Ministry of Energy and Mines were unveiled: formulate, adopt, manage and coordinate the national policy of exploration, exploitation, processing and beneficiation of metallic and non-metallic minerals. In addition, the law’s Article 12 states that this ministry will administer the special fund established by Act 112-00, which may be used to stimulate alternative, clean or renewable energy programs.
