Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce, Anina del Castillo, announced this program and stated: “The Ministry has prepared a special plan to facilitate those who want to convert their vehicles to CNG system”. At the same time, she said that this governmental institution continues to give incentives to different energy sector’s divisions.
Del Castillo considered natural gas as an alternative fuel to conventional ones, reported the Government Information Center from the State Ministry of Presidency.
This initiative, which intends to promote the use of natural gas vehicles in the country, joins another one led by the National Union of Carriers (CNTU, in its Spanish acronym), which recently announced the introduction of a CNG-powered fleet in the city of Baní.
