As Minister of Industry and Commerce Manuel García Arévalo stipulated, a MIC’s unit will be working in each of the three CNG stations with the purpose of registering vehicles that have been switched to CNG.
According to MIC’s Communications Department, each vehicle must undergo an annual check to verify the equipment conditions. The registration number, the workshop name and the date of equipment installation -among other information- is included on the sticker that is placed on the car’s windscreen.
Currently, there are about 40 companies authorized to import, install conversion kits and sell natural gas.
