“A federal law is needed providing for comprehensive state support measures. These should, at first place, include tax benefits for vehicle companies converting transport to CNG, exemption from payments and duties, subsidizing CNG purchase at the federal level and introduction of regional target programs. Widespread use of this type of fuel will lead to the prime cost reduction of motor transportation and, therefore, will boost economic development of certain regions and Russia as a whole. Moreover, it will enable to considerably improve the ecological situation in the country including Siberia with its unique natural resources,” noted Viktor Zubkov at the meeting.
The participants of the meeting also visited an exhibition of several natural gas vehicles, including a Kamaz-65116 prime mover running on CNG and LNG, two garbage trucks on the basis of Kamaz-65115, a rear-unloading dump truck Kamaz-65115-865-30 and a vacuum truck KO-505AG.
