The Russian company has approached Iran to purchase this equipment during the Sixth Automobile International Conference. At the event, the manager for construction of CNG stations at National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Co. (NIOPDC), Mansour Riahi, briefed the participants on opportunities for the export of industrial services.
On the export of CNG services, Riahi highlighted that Iran has also agreed to construct five CNG refueling stations in Iraq, reported IRNA (Islamic Republic News Agency). Iran’s NGV industry has the capacity to enter the markets of Central Asian and neighboring countries, he added.
Iran has nearly 4 million NGVs and has made a rapid growth over the past decade in development of CNG stations and production of CNG vehicles, according to the managing director of NIOPDC, Nasser Sajjadi.
In turn, the growth in consumption of CNG has also cut gasoline consumption nearly between 27 and 28 billion dollars. Between 40 and 50% will be added to Iran’s gas output by the end of the next year which provides Iran with an opportunity to further develop NGV sector.
