The number of conversions to CNG in luxury cars was doubled this year in Mendoza. “In the past, it was established that CNG cars lost power because of the installation of natural gas technology. Far from being true, now the new pieces of equipment ensure optimum performance in high-end units,” said Hugo Lamy, from the Chamber of CNG in Mendoza, reported the newspaper “Los Andes”.
In turn, Esi Gas executives explained that installation of 5th generation equipments has grown 100 per cent in high-end vehicles, compared to last year installations.
“Regarding conversions, growth has remained stable, approximately 880 CNG equipments are monthly installed in Mendoza,” said Lamy.
Meanwhile, in Santiago del Estero 10 kits are being installed each day, three of which are fixed in luxury cars. As workers detailed to the “Nuevo Diario”, the activity increased between 20 and 30 percent over last year.
