Currently, preliminary tests have begun but the intention of the insurance company Sicuritalia is to replace 500 of its vehicles. The plan will be launched in Milan and then spread to other cities where the company has offices.
According to GE consulting team’s report, Sicuritalia -which has a fleet of 900 vehicles that serve both private and public clients- could save annually more than 1,500 euros per diesel unit replaced or converted to CNG, reported Ecomotori.net.
“Thanks to the collaboration between our consulting team and Sicuritalia, we identified the specific needs of customers and developed a new strategy of eco-sustainability and reduction of operating costs,” said Max Nunziata, CEO of GE Capital’s Fleet Services, which is currently in charge of managing Sicuritalia’s fleet.
