“Europe is a dynamic and growing marketplace for NGVs with a huge untapped potential for making methane from fossil and renewable sources a major alternative transport fuel for all types of vehicles and transport modes”, said Gerhard Holtmeier, Chairman of the Board, who is very satisfied with the new General Management.
Both Lennart Pilskog and Matthias Maedge are convinced of the unrivaled quality and leadership role of the NGV related industry represented by the NGVA Europe members. “We are looking forward to work very effectively together to further consolidate NGVA Europe as the competent interlocutor and only representative for NGVs in Europe”, Pilskog and Maedge said at the Board meeting.
2014 will be a crucial year for NGVA Europe and its members, as EU elections will take place in May, new Commissioners and MEPs will come into office and important standardization work will have to be completed to ultimately make the internal market for NG vehicles, components and filling stations a reality.
Lennart Pilskog has almost 40 years of working experience in the automotive industry, which he spent at Volvo during his whole career. Matthias Maedge will remain primarily responsible for coordinating and executing the political work of NGVA Europe as the EU Affairs Director of the association.
