According to statistics published by the Ministry of Mining and Energy of Colombia, from January to April 2013 almost 10,700 vehicles were converted nationwide. The accumulated NGV transitions of all time reach 450,597 units (of which 147,967 were registered in Bogotá only) and place the country in the third spot in the Latin America ranking in connection with CNG conversions, behind Argentina and Brazil.
The increase in the number of conversions is supported by an extensive CNG refueling network, which totals 692 stations all around Colombia.
Precisely in this country, the International Conference and Exhibition on Natural Gas Vehicles NGV2013 Colombia will be held on November 6-8 in Cartagena. It is regarded as the most important event of the sector in Latin America this year.
